Wanted Gangster with 29 Cases Surrenders to Jharkhand Police

The reign of terror led by Ramdev Oraon, the chief of the Jhangur Group, came to an end as he surrendered before the Ranchi police. Oraon was one of the most wanted criminals in the state, with 29 criminal cases registered against him, including murder and kidnapping. Despite several attempts to apprehend him, Oraon had remained elusive, prompting a ₹5 lakh reward. His decision to surrender alongside his associates was reportedly motivated by the Jharkhand government's surrender policy. Rural SP Gaurav Goswami addressed the media, stating that continuous operations by security forces had made it nearly impossible for the gang to operate further.
