Uttar Pradesh, Bihar Face Torrential Rain Amid Cyclone Arnab

Cyclone Arnab, together with a deep depression, is reshaping the weather pattern over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The meteorological agency has placed 23 districts of Uttar Pradesh under a heavy rain alert, while 38 districts are marked for thunderstorms and lightning. Residents of eastern UP should prepare for heavy downpours on the 25th and 26th of September.

Bihar is seeing intermittent but intense rain showers, especially around Patna. Forecasts indicate that heavy rain, thunderstorms and occasional hail will continue through September 27, lowering temperatures by 2‑4°C.

Other states are not immune: Jharkhand has issued alerts for 16 districts, including orange warnings for five, while Rajasthan’s western districts endure extreme heat above 43°C, with modest rain expected in the eastern zones in the coming days.
