A tragic road accident on the Khunti-Simdega main highway near Pokla village in Jharkhand has claimed the lives of two active members of Baba Amreshwar Dham Management Committee and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers. The incident occurred early Thursday morning around 4:30 AM. Five other individuals sustained injuries and have been admitted to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi for treatment. The victims were returning from the Ramrekha Mela in Simdega when the accident took place. Police identified the deceased as Anuj Kumar Manjhi from Gajgaon and Shivdutt Manjhi from Hansa. The injured, including Prabhash Manjhi from Gajgaon, Amit Mahto and Chandru Ram from Reva, and Sunil Kumar from Jurdag, were referred to RIMS due to their serious condition. Ranjit Mahto from Bande was discharged from Khunti Hospital after receiving first aid. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and are completing legal formalities. The Baba Amreshwar Dham Management Committee and the BJP organization have expressed deep sorrow over the loss of their dedicated members, standing in solidarity with the bereaved families and praying for strength during this difficult time.
