Truck Smashes Bike Carrying Three Riders, Two Die Instantly, One Later in Hospital
In a harrowing incident on Sunday, a heavy truck plowed into a motorcycle carrying three friends in Gumla, Jharkhand, resulting in two immediate fatalities and a third fatality after hospitalization.
The crash occurred near the Tetra village turn, where the bike apparently veered off course before being struck by an oncoming truck. The impact tore the rear wheel from the bike and flung the trio into a bordering field. Simson Keedo and Deepak Kachhap were declared dead at the scene, while Tinku Singh was gravely injured.
First responders rushed Singh to Basia Referral Hospital, where he received emergency care before being transferred to the district Sadar Hospital and ultimately to RIMS in Ranchi. Despite intensive medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries.
Police have secured the crash site, confiscated both vehicles, and begun a post‑mortem procedure. Investigators are collecting statements from eyewitnesses to determine if speed, driver error, or the bike’s instability on a sharp bend caused the tragedy.
The incident has sparked a wave of grief across the local communities, with families mourning the abrupt loss of three inseparable friends who were traveling together.
