Tree-Planting Program Organized at IIIT Ranchi under the One Tree as Mother Campaign

Under the One Tree as Mother campaign, a tree-planting program was organized at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi. The event saw the institute's director Prof. Rajeev Srivastava, faculty members, officials and staff enthusiastically participating and planting saplings at various locations on the campus. The program started with Prof. Rajeev Srivastava planting a sapling. Afterwards, all faculty, officials and staff planted trees, conveying a message of environmental protection. During the event, everyone pledged to increase greenery and take regular care of the planted trees. Prof. Rajeev Srivastava said that protecting the environment is not only the responsibility of the government or any single institution, but the duty of every citizen. He added that if each person plants a tree and cares for it, a clean and green environment can be ensured for future generations. The One Tree as Mother campaign is a meaningful effort to honor both nature and motherhood. Through this program, the institute family demonstrated their participation in environmental conservation.
