Technical Errors Stall BJP-Backed Candidate's Rajya Sabha Bid

The race for the Rajya Sabha seats in Jharkhand has encountered a legal snag as the nomination of independent candidate Parimal Nathwani faces scrutiny over multiple documentation errors. During the mandatory verification of papers on Tuesday, three specific objections were raised against Nathwani’s submission, leading the election authorities to withhold his candidacy temporarily. This development stands in stark contrast to the smooth approval of candidates from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and the Congress, whose documents were validated almost immediately. According to reports, the first objection pertains to a discrepancy in the candidate’s name order, the second involves an empty column in the mandatory forms, and the third relates to a section regarding criminal records that was not properly filled out.
