Student Protest Over Alleged 50-60 Lakh JPSC Seat Sale Continues
Students and aspirants have been staging a sit-in and hunger strike for the past fifteen days, demanding a transparent investigation into the alleged Rs 50-60 million purchase of JPSC vacancies. Mahato said the administration’s lack of empathy is deepening the crisis.
He urged ruling-party legislators to join the students’ cause, arguing that all elected representatives must demonstrate sensitivity on this “sensitive issue.” Mahato also mentioned that attempts to discuss the matter with a few ministers were rebuffed until Chief Minister Hemant Soren personally intervened.
The MLA pledged to raise the matter forcefully in the legislative assembly and to coordinate a statewide encirclement of the assembly premises if the government does not address the grievances promptly.
