State Announces Incentives for Private Players in Hotels, Resorts and Adventure Projects
During the national brainstorming event at New Delhi’s Taj Palace, the Jharkhand government unveiled a comprehensive incentive scheme for private investors. The package covers hotels, resorts, ropeways, skywalks, water‑sport arenas, floating restaurants, houseboats, camping grounds and other experiential tourism projects.
The announcement came alongside data showing 5.85 crore visitors in 2024, with pilgrims accounting for 4.40 crore of that total.
Policy reforms such as Tourism Policy‑2026, Homestay Policy‑2026 and a digital single‑window registration process are intended to simplify approvals and attract institutional financing.
Central schemes “Prasad” and “Swadesh Darshan” will complement state efforts by strengthening infrastructure at emerging tourist sites.
Minister Sudhivy Kumar stressed that while Jharkhand is known for its mineral wealth, its natural scenery offers equal potential for tourism‑driven growth, calling on investors to tap into this emerging market.
