Special Investigation Team Formed to Probe Ranchi Gang Rape Incident

In response to the gravity of the gang‑rape case, the Ranchi senior superintendent of police ordered the formation of a special investigation team under the command of DSP (2nd) Ajay Aryan. The squad combined on‑site evidence, digital forensics and community tips to build a robust case against the four accused, including two adults and two juveniles. Interrogations reveal that the perpetrators were intoxicated after visiting the Karma festival and targeted the lone woman as she walked back to her relatives’ house.
