New Delhi. Jharkhand Pavilion, participating as the focus state in the India International Trade Fair 2025, is in the spotlight this year with its unique Mining Tourism model. On Saturday, visitors from across the country viewed the holistic presentation of Mining Tourism and religious tourism showcased at the Jharkhand Pavilion from a new perspective and wished to experience Jharkhand Tourism up close. With the infrastructure development, cultural preservation, tourism promotion, and local community participation undertaken by the state government, Jharkhand is rapidly emerging as a major tourist destination in the country.
Mining Tourism: A Unique Initiative by Jharkhand
Under this Mining Tourism initiative, tourists can visit active coal mines with trained guides, closely understand mining processes, operation of state-of-the-art machinery, and safe mining techniques, and also gain firsthand experience of Jharkhand’s significant role in energy production and the country’s economy.
Virtual Reality Presentation of Tourist Destinations Offers Visitors an Experience
The virtual reality experience set up in the pavilion further strengthens this narrative. The virtual reality presentation of major tourist destinations like Patratu Valley, Netarhat, Saranda Forest, Betla National Park, Chandil Dam, and Parasnath by the tourism department is offering visitors an immersive experience.
The spiritual heritage of Jharkhand has also been specially showcased in the pavilion. This includes Baidyanath Dham (Deoghar), Shaktipeeth Hridaypeeth, where Mother Sati’s heart fell, and Shri Banshidhar Temple, which houses a statue of Lord Krishna made of 32 maunds, or 1280 kilograms, of pure gold.
The grandeur of Patratu Valley is particularly attracting visitors. Green valleys, vast lakes, dams, and experiences like boating on Patratu Lake are establishing Jharkhand as an emerging natural tourism destination. Viewpoints, cafeterias, and entertainment facilities developed by the Jharkhand government here are making tourism more accessible and attractive.
