Shri Mukesh Kumar, Tourism Secretary, said that tourist friends are playing an important role in providing local information, assistance and guidance to visitors at various tourist destinations in the state. Also, the hotel and hospitality sector is a partner in providing better services to tourists. Other stakeholders working in the field of tourism have also contributed through their digital reach and creative content to take Jharkhand's tourist destinations, natural beauty and diverse experiences to new audiences across the country and the world. He was addressing the ceremony organized at the historic Audrey House in Ranchi on the occasion of World Tourism Day on Sunday. The program began with paying homage and heartfelt tribute to the late minister Shri Sudivya Kumar by offering him flowers.
Associates of Jharkhand Tourism were honored
During the ceremony, tourist friends and other stakeholders who contributed to giving a better experience and wider recognition to tourism in the state were honored. On this occasion, Shri Mukesh Kumar said that this honor is an effort to recognize the contribution of all those partners who are working directly or indirectly towards establishing Jharkhand as an attractive and memorable tourist destination.

Tourism Director Shri Naman Priyesh Lakra said that this World Tourism Day event has become a symbol of the shared resolve to give wider recognition to Jharkhand's natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and diverse tourism potential. The Tourism Department is continuously making efforts through the participation of local communities, tourist friends, the hotel and hospitality sector, and other stakeholders to further improve the tourism experience in the state and expand the reach of Jharkhand's tourist destinations.
Shri Prem Ranjan, Managing Director, along with other officials of the department and representatives from the tourism sector were present at the program.
