SP Leaders File Police Complaint Against Dubey and Supporters Over Tinnu Allegations

Samajwadi Party functionaries have lodged a police complaint against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and a number of online users who echoed allegations involving Tinnu Yadav. The complaint, filed at Etawah’s Friends Colony police station, accuses the respondents of spreading false information that links the alleged Ayodhya Ram Temple sacrilege suspect with SP chief Akhlash Yadav.

According to the filing, Dubey’s X post on July 5 quoted journalist Sarvanna Prasad Balasubramanyam, who claimed that police records and call logs proved a regular conversation between Tinnu Yadav and Akhlash Yadav. The SP framed the post as an attempt to malign the SP‑BJP partnership and to fuel communal tension.

The SP’s legal notice, sent through state president K.K. Pal, reiterates the demand for deletion of the post and a public apology. It further cautions that a continued refusal will trigger criminal defamation proceedings under Indian law.

Police officials have opened a preliminary inquiry, examining the digital footprints of Dubey and the other individuals named in the complaint.
