Six-Month-Infant Killed in Hazaribagh as Father Reacts to Rotten Potato Argument

A harrowing case emerged from Hazaribagh’s Katkamandi police circle when a dispute over a decayed potato turned violent.

Akash Kumar, the child's father, reportedly seized his six‑month‑old baby and repeatedly tossed the infant onto a concrete slab near a well, leading to death.

The child's mother, Niraali Devi, registered a murder complaint, prompting authorities to arrest the father and place him in judicial custody.

Investigators are also looking into whether other family members participated in the altercation.
