Security forces have recovered arms, live ammunition and IED-related items from forest areas in Mahuadanr police station limits of Latehar district, following a two-day combined search operation.

Among the items seized were two rifles, 63 cartridges and two steel IED containers. Additional materials were also found during the search.

At a press conference held at the Mahuadanr police station on Friday, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Pooja Kumari and SSB Assistant Commandant Abhishek Kumar Gaurav shared details of the operation. They said the joint police and Sashastra Seema Bal team had been formed on the instructions of higher authorities and conducted raids across different forested zones within the station area.

DSP Pooja Kumari stated that the identity of those who hid the weapons in the forest is being investigated. She also said that the anti-Naxal raid campaign is continuing.

Station In-charge Amit Kumar Ravidas, along with other police and SSB personnel, attended the press conference.
