Rural Tragedy: Lightning Strikes Father‑Son Duo, Injures Woman in Palamu

A violent lightning storm hit Purushottampur village in Palamu district on Tuesday evening. The strike hit Bal Mukund Yadav and his son Dilip Yadav while they were traveling home on a bike, killing them on the spot. Their neighbor, Anita Devi, was also caught in the bolt and suffered critical injuries. She has been admitted to the Panki Community Health Centre for intensive care. Police officials, including Station House Officer Deepak Kumar Singh, confirmed that the bodies have been sent for post‑mortem and that investigations are underway.
