RSS Jamshedpur Camp: Building Character for National Growth

A grand valedictory program for the Sangh Shiksha Varg was organized at the RBS Engineering College premises in Jamshedpur, bringing together a large number of volunteers and prominent social figures. The chief speaker, Dr. Mohan Singh, spoke extensively on the tradition and significance of the Officer Training Camp (OTC). He explained that these training sessions are not just about physical or intellectual exercise but are focused on the holistic development of an individual’s character. By fostering a spirit of self-sacrifice and national pride, the RSS aims to create citizens who are ready to serve the country in every capacity. The scale of the training camp was impressive, with 226 trainees representing 172 different regions. The participants hailed from 55 blocks, 44 towns, and 24 districts, showcasing a unified front from across 8 divisions and 4 major metropolitan centers. Dr. Singh noted that the organization has consistently played a pivotal role during national crises, referencing historical milestones such as the 1962 war and the movement for democratic restoration during the Emergency. These examples were used to illustrate the volunteer-driven spirit that defines the organization’s history.
