On Saturday, traffic police set up a helmet‑awareness stall at Sakchi Golchakkar to address the high number of two‑wheelers traveling without protection. Officers, led by DSP Neeraj Kumar Pathak, stopped motorists, demonstrated how a helmet can absorb impact, and handed out helmets to those who needed them.
The campaign stressed that helmets are not optional accessories but lifesaving equipment mandated by law. Police also reminded riders to observe speed limits, use signaling devices, and respect other commuters on the road.
By distributing helmets and reinforcing traffic rules, the police hope to reduce head‑injury statistics in the region and foster a culture of safety among daily commuters.
