Ranchi Police Recover Body of Assembly Staff Who Leapt Into Dam

In a distressing episode at Dhurwa Dam, a member of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly staff jumped into the reservoir and was pronounced dead.

Items such as a vehicle, slippers and a raincoat discovered along the shoreline were instrumental in establishing the victim’s identity.

The state police, aided by the NDRF, performed the recovery operation and initiated preliminary inquiries into the circumstances.
