Ranchi Deposits 51 Cr in Pension Accounts for 2.55 Lakh Users

The Ranchi district office has executed a substantial welfare disbursement under the state-run Public Pension Scheme, targeting 2,55,534 active pensioners. Officials confirmed on Wednesday that the government has cleared the pending dues for October and November 2026 in a single batch. Utilizing the Direct Benefit Transfer framework, authorities successfully channeled ₹51.1068 crore directly into the banking channels of eligible citizens.

The compensation structure provides ₹1,000 for each month of coverage, resulting in a total credit of ₹2,000 per account over the two-month window. This mass payout aims to bolster the financial stability of recipients relying on these fixed incomes.

In cases where the transferred funds have not reflected in local accounts, district officials have urged immediate compliance with bank verification protocols. Specifically, beneficiaries must ensure their Aadhaar cards are properly seeded to their accounts to unlock further transactions and prevent systemic hold-ups.

Detailed metrics show robust participation across various municipal and rural zones. Tamra topped the distribution chart with 20,689 active accounts credited. Subsequent figures were logged in Kanke at 17,027, Mandar at 16,115, and Silli at 15,683. Additional financial injections reached 14,142 individuals in Bedo and 13,752 in Sonahatu, demonstrating comprehensive administrative outreach.

Designed to safeguard the economic interests of at-risk populations, the program caters to senior citizens, widowed females, unmarried women, and the physically challenged. The local administration has reiterated its strict adherence to delivery timelines, promising that no qualified individual will be left out of future social security roundups.
