On Tuesday, Hemant Soren welcomed a nine‑member delegation from the Jagannathpur Temple Trust at his official bungalow on Kanke Road. The team outlined the preparation status for the Rath Yatra, which is scheduled to commence on 16 July 2026, and sought the chief minister’s presence at the inaugural procession. They reported strong local sentiment and readiness of venues. The delegation was headed by President N.N. Pandey, with senior servant Thakur Sudanshu Nath Shahdev, Secretary Prasann Kumar, and members Gopal Upadhyay, Nitu Devi, Kamal Thakur and Amardeep Kaushal. The chief minister expressed appreciation for the efforts and assured his presence to enhance the festival’s grandeur.
