Public Unrest Erupts Following Death of Karni Sena Official

Following the death of Himanshu Singh, the district president of the Karni Sena youth wing, public unrest erupted in Jamshedpur's Bistupur police‑station jurisdiction. Singh had been attacked with a knife and later died while receiving medical care. The community responded with fierce protests, blocking streets and targeting police presence. Officers' vehicles, including the city SP's official car and a PCR van, were vandalised. The senior superintendent of police, noting lapses by the patrolling team, ordered the immediate suspension of an assistant sub‑inspector and three other police members pending an inquiry.
