Authorities Impose Prohibition Zone Around Assembly Amid Security Alert

The state police have declared a 750‑meter prohibition zone around the Jharkhand assembly building from August 6 to August 12, effective daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The order also extends to Jamshedpur from midnight on Sunday. Additional Police Director Manoj Kaushik warned of possible unrest during the proposed march and urged students to remain peaceful and disciplined. The Ranchi SSP emphasized that maintaining law and order is a collective responsibility and that any disruption could jeopardise the futures of the participating students.
