Police Probe Fatal Stabbing of Two Elders in Ghumla Block Land Row

In the remote village of Mangaruttla, located within Jarda Panchayat of Ghumla district, a land dispute turned deadly on Sunday evening. Two senior villagers, Bhushan Kherwar, 60, and Budhram Kherwar, 70, were found dead after being attacked with a pointed weapon.

The local police team, headed by Sub-Inspector Shani Kumar, responded promptly after a distress call. The officers secured the bodies, initiated a crime-scene reconstruction, and began gathering testimonies from nearby households.

Preliminary findings suggest that the argument over parcel boundaries escalated into a lethal encounter, although the exact identity of the attacker remains unknown. Investigators are combing through the area for clues and any weapon recovered.
