Police Investigate Burning of Victim’s Body After Alleged Drink‑Related Argument

Pathrol police have opened a case after a man's body was found charred beside a well in Bahadurpur village, Deoghar. The deceased, identified as 45‑year‑old Pradeep Sharma, was allegedly drinking with Rohit Turi when a quarrel broke out. Relatives claim that after the confrontation, Turi set the victim’s body ablaze to conceal the crime.

Sintu Sharma, the son of the deceased, filed a complaint at the local police station. Officers seized the remains and are awaiting a post‑mortem report to confirm the exact cause of death and to verify the claim that the fire was ignited after the victim had already died.

Investigators are also reviewing CCTV footage, collecting forensic samples, and questioning nearby residents. The case remains under active investigation, with police urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
