Nowamundi Bus Accident: 40+ Travelers Survive Overnight Crash
A passenger bus carrying more than forty individuals met with an accident in the Nowamundi locality of Western Singhbhum early Saturday. The mishap happened around 5:15 AM along the Aurangabad to Jhoda corridor. Rescue officials confirmed that all passengers survived the incident without any loss of life.
Those aboard the bus spoke of a distressing experience marked by apparent driver negligence. Passengers stated that the Nihasika bus driver was likely suffering from extreme fatigue, as he was handling a long-distance route solo. They believe his sudden loss of concentration while operating the vehicle directly led to the collision.
Left stranded after the crash, travelers faced immediate neglect. Both the driver and the bus attendant reportedly escaped from the area, abandoning the passengers. For approximately thirty minutes, no logistical support or backup vehicles were provided. Female passengers, minors, and other travelers spent considerable time standing by the roadside, awaiting rescue arrangements.
