In a strategic move to modernize diagnostic services, the Jharkhand state government is establishing a Central Radiology Hub. Announced by Dr. Irfan Ansari, this hub will serve as a nerve center for all radiology tests performed in government-run medical facilities across the state. Currently, many hospitals in remote areas face a chronic shortage of radiologists, leading to significant delays in critical diagnoses. The new CRH will solve this bottleneck by using a high-speed digital network to send medical images like CT scans and MRIs to centralized experts for immediate review. This transition to a digital, expert-led reporting system is expected to significantly reduce wait times and enhance the overall accuracy of medical reports. The Health Minister emphasized that this development will particularly benefit the underprivileged populations who often travel long distances for specialized medical opinions.
