Ramgarh – In the quiet lanes of Nemra, the hometown of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, a dignified tribute was paid to his late mother Rupii Soren on Sunday. The gathering, officially termed a ‘sanskaar bhoj’, witnessed an unprecedented turnout of citizens and officials.
Among the crowd were ministers, legislators, senior officers and numerous social workers who arrived throughout the day. Several distinguished guests placed fresh flowers before a portrait of the late matriarch, expressing deep respect and offering condolences to the Soren family.
Chief Minister Soren played the role of an attentive host, personally supervising each segment of the programme. He ensured that food service, seating arrangements and overall hygiene standards were maintained, and he met each attendee, expressing gratitude for their solidarity.
The district administration coordinated with police forces to implement rigorous security protocols. Traffic diversion, orderly parking and continuous announcements helped keep the event free from any inconvenience or disorder.
Concluding the feast, the CM and his relatives voiced sincere appreciation to the audience, the administrative machinery and law‑enforcement teams for their unwavering support during this period of loss.
