Modern Art Meets Devotion at Shravani Fair: 3D Murals and Aerial Light Show

Deoghar’s Shravani Mela 2026 opened with a surge of devotees flocking to the world‑renowned Baidyanath shrine. Within the first two days, close to two hundred thousand pilgrims participated in the jal‑arpan ceremony, employing a modern Arghya dispensing system to offer water to Lord Shiva’s lingam.

The fair’s organizers introduced immersive 3D murals along the banks of the Shiv Ganga river. These larger‑than‑life paintings showcase Shiva’s various avatars, his iconic trident, the resonant damru, and the mythic descent of the Ganga. The tactile visual experience has transformed the ghats into a prominent selfie hotspot, attracting locals and visitors alike who capture and share the art on digital platforms.

Complementing the ground‑level artistry, a spectacular drone light exhibition lit up the night sky. Hundreds of drones performed synchronized aerial choreography, projecting colourful narratives of Baidyanath’s legends, the cultural heritage of the Shravani mela, and key facts about the twelve Jyotirlingas. The show was marketed as a bridge between age‑old devotion and cutting‑edge entertainment.

In addition, the district administration set up thirty‑four assistance booths across the venue to locate and reunite dispersed pilgrims with their families, ensuring a smooth and secure pilgrimage experience for all.
