Minor Girl's Tower Protest in Palamu Ends Safely

Palamu: A romance-related episode left people stunned in the Manatu area of the district on Saturday. Near the Padma Surya Temple, a minor girl scaled a roughly 150-foot mobile tower, insisting on marrying her minor sweetheart from the same village.

Her unexpected act turned the spot into a scene of chaos. Villagers and family members rushed to the location, worried about her safety at such a dangerous height.

For a considerable period, family and villagers tried to reason with her, but she stayed put on the tower. The episode began around 11:30 in the morning, and attempts to bring her down continued without success for some time.

Upon receiving information, Manatu police station in-charge Vicky Kumar reached the place and urged her to descend. She, however, made it clear that she would not come down until her wish was fulfilled.

Her boyfriend was then brought to the scene, and he appealed to her to climb down. After the family and villagers agreed to arrange the marriage, she was persuaded to come down.

The entire episode, which stretched over nearly an hour, ended with the girl descending safely. Relatives and villagers expressed relief once the situation was resolved.
