Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey Leads Jharkhand Crowd to Delhi Rally
Thousands of supporters from Jharkhand travelled to Delhi to attend the 'Vote Bachao-Desh Bachao' rally held at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday. The delegation was led by Agriculture Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey and former minister Bandhu Tirkey.
In her address to the rally, Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey observed that the large turnout, held on Rahul Gandhi's appeal, reflected a growing public awareness across the country. She said people are united in their resolve to defend democracy, the Constitution and their franchise.
She also warned that any power built through deceit is unlikely to last. In her view, citizens have become increasingly determined to uphold their rights and democratic values.
The Jharkhand delegation brought the state's art, culture and traditions to the national stage, giving the audience a glimpse of Jharkhandi identity. A notable highlight was the traditional bheri of the Tana Bhagat community, whose sound resonated at Ramlila Maidan and reflected Jharkhand's cultural presence and public engagement.
Against the backdrop of enthusiastic participation from Jharkhand, the minister described the rally as a public commitment rather than a mere political event. It was, she said, a pledge to safeguard democracy, the Constitution, the right to vote and the nation's future.
She concluded that the people of the country are watchful of their rights and would not allow the democratic system to be compromised at any price.
