Mahajutan Rally Allegedly Shifted to Support Congress Coalition, Say Tribal Leaders

Ranchi – Tribal representatives gathered on Sunday to condemn what they describe as the politicisation of the Mahajutan Unity Rally. Their joint statement claims that the rally, initially promoted as a platform for tribal unity, was repurposed within twelve hours to function as a rally for the Congress coalition government. The document points to the participation of a local church and the alleged involvement of former minister Bhandu Tirki as key factors in the rapid transformation. The signatories, including prominent figures such as Pahan Jaglal Pahan and Babul Mund, reiterated that they have no objection to movements organised by Christian communities, but they will oppose any effort that leverages tribal identity for political endorsement.
