The mountain states are under a heightened alert for landslides and rapid rise of river levels. Uttarakhand districts such as Nainital, Rishikesh, Bageshwar and Haridwar are forecasted to receive heavy to very heavy rain with winds reaching 50 km/h. Temperatures in Dehradun will hover between 24 °C and 28 °C.
In Himachal Pradesh, areas including Kullu, Sirmaur, Kangra and Solan face gusts of 50‑55 km/h accompanied by intense showers. Manali may experience a temperature dip to 11 °C in the early morning.
Jammu & Kashmir’s northern districts—Kishtwar, Mirpur, Poonch and others—are expected to see winds up to 70 km/h and temperatures around 20‑31 °C, raising concerns for flash floods and slope failures.
