Koderma Accident Claims Young Life as Crowd of Pilgrims Injured

A grim episode struck the pilgrim convoy of Safari Travels on Friday morning when their bus, laden with worshippers, collided head‑on with a truck near the Pokhardih turn in Satgawan, Koderma. The bus had just completed a ritual bath at Basukinath Dham and was heading toward Rajgir. The sudden crash left the vehicle rattling and caused a surge of fear among the passengers. Tragically, 12‑year‑old Shivam Kumar of Nepal's Rautahat district died on the spot. Rescue teams rescued around 45 injured travelers, many of whom were transferred to hospitals in Kodarma and neighboring districts. Police are examining whether the truck driver lost control due to brake failure or driver fatigue.
