Kidnap Allegation Turns Chaotic as Young Woman Unsheathes Knife Before Officers

A kidnapping claim in the Jayanagar police circle led to a volatile encounter on Monday night. The father of the alleged victim filed a report on July 10, stating that his daughter had been lured away by a local resident of Garagdi. Police units conducted a thorough search and received information that both parties had arrived in Garagdi village. Upon arrival, the police asked the young woman to accompany them to the station, but she produced a concealed knife and warned of self‑injury. The situation escalated quickly, creating chaos at the scene. Senior officer Vikas Kumar, along with female police personnel, successfully persuaded the woman to surrender, ensuring her safety and transporting her to the Sakhri Center in Kodarma. The investigation is ongoing and the male suspect, Rahul Das, is currently evading capture.
