Joint Jharkhand‑Bihar Plan Secures 105‑km Kawadiya Route for Pilgrims

A collaborative security plan between Jharkhand and Bihar police has been finalized to protect the 105‑kilometre Kawadiya pilgrimage corridor linking Sultanganj in Bihar with Deoghar in Jharkhand. The strategy includes joint patrols, checkpoint establishment, and rapid response teams along the route.

Special arrangements cover traffic regulation, medical aid stations, and continuous CCTV surveillance, ensuring a safe passage for thousands of devotees who walk the sacred path carrying Ganga water for the ritual ablution at Baba Baidyanath.
