Birsa Munda Archery Academy in Silli is celebrating the selection of its talented para-archer, Jitu Ram Bedia, for the Indian national team. Bedia will represent India at the upcoming Asian Youth Para Archery Championship, showcasing his exceptional skills on an international stage. The academy’s patron and former Deputy Chief Minister, Sudesh Mahto, personally felicitated Bedia with a world-class compound bow and extended his best wishes for the competition. Also present at the event were Chanchal Bhattacharya, Secretary of the Ranchi District Archery Association, and Babita Devi, Vice Chairperson of the Bokaro Zilla Parishad, underscoring the significant support for Bedia’s journey.
Academy President Neha Mahto lauded Bedia, emphasizing that his selection is a moment of immense pride not only for the Silli region but for the entire state of Jharkhand. Hailing from the remote village of Jonha, Dimra (Bandhtola), Bedia’s journey exemplifies the power of dedication. Sudesh Kumar Mahto remarked on Bedia’s unwavering dedication, hard work, and indomitable spirit, calling him an inspiration to all. His success highlights how children can achieve great heights through their talent, provided they receive opportunities and guidance, even amidst challenges. He extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for a bright future, expressing the hope that Bedia will bring glory to Jharkhand and India on the global platform.
