Jharkhand's Silk Farmer Makes Jharkhand Proud at National Level
In the 77th Foundation Day celebration of the Central Silk Board held in Bengaluru, Mr. Shambhu Nath Dehri from Dumka received an award at the national level in the field of silk for 'Private Grainier'.

Bengaluru/Ranchi:- Mr. Shambhu Nath Dehri, a silk farmer from Madhupur in Dumka district of Jharkhand, was honored at a ceremony organized at the Gandhi Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Bengaluru on the occasion of the 77th Foundation Day of the Central Silk Board. This award was presented to him by the Union Textiles Minister. The silk farmer has once again made Jharkhand proud at the national level.
Award received in the 'Private Grainier' category
At the event, Union Textiles Minister Mr. Giriraj Singh presented Shambhunath with this award in the 'Private Grainier' category, meaning private seed producer. Mr. Shambhu Nath Dehri from Dumka was awarded at the national level in the field of silk for 'Private Grainier'. This honor is a matter of pride for Jharkhand. This award has once again proved that the Jharkhand government is committed to the interests of the state's farmers.
The Director of Handicrafts, Silk, and Handicrafts of Jharkhand, along with directors and many officials from other states, were present at the event.
