New Delhi/Ranchi:- Inaugurating the Jharkhand Pavilion at Bharat Tex 2026 in New Delhi's Bharat Mandapam, Industry Minister Shri Sanjay Prasad Yadav said that our identity should not be limited to the state's borders, but should reach the country and the world. By giving global recognition to Jharkhand's rich handicraft and textile heritage, we want to create more employment opportunities in the state, so that our youth do not have to go elsewhere in search of employment. If employment increases, Jharkhand's development will also move forward at a new pace.
Objective to provide opportunities in national and international markets to weavers
Minister Shri Sanjay Prasad Yadav said that Bharat Tex 2026 is an important platform to take Jharkhand's traditional textile products to national and international markets, provide new business opportunities to weavers and artisans, and connect the state's textile industry with the global value chain.

The exhibition of six GI tagged handicraft products of the state at the Jharkhand Pavilion impressively presented Jharkhand's rich textile heritage, traditional craftsmanship, and the talent of weavers to national and international buyers. Tassar Silk, Kuchai Silk, Bhagaiya Saree and Fabric, Tumka Chaadar, Bhoya Saree and Fabric, and Panchhi Saree and Fabric were displayed.

Inspired by fashion and the global market, Bharat Tex 2026 has become a major global platform for trade, investment, innovation, policy dialogue, and strategic partnerships for the entire value chain of the textile and apparel industry. This event is working to give new direction to India's growing global leadership capability, sustainable development, technological innovation, investment, and international trade in the textile and fashion sector.
Director of the Industry Department, Shri Vishal Sagar, Additional Secretary, Mrs. Preeti, and senior officials of the department were present at the event. Manufacturers, exporters, global buyers, investors, policymakers, international delegations, startups, technology providers, and artisans associated with the handicraft and handloom sector from India and abroad are participating in large numbers in this event.
