Jharkhand authorities issue zero‑tolerance directive after Delhi bust

Umeshankar Singh, Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, reiterated the department’s zero‑tolerance policy on trafficking. He instructed all district officials to act instantly on any tip, form joint teams, and send them to Delhi for rapid rescue and repatriation of victims. Post‑rehabilitation, rescued children will be linked to Jharkhand’s welfare schemes and monitored to prevent re‑victimisation.
