A session of Business-to-Government (B2G) meeting with global tech companies was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren to accelerate AI-based good governance and digital transformation.

New Delhi/Ranchi, July 08, 2026: Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren assured all stakeholders present in the meeting that the state government is fully committed to adopting technological innovations and promoting Artificial Intelligence (AI) based good governance. He said that Jharkhand will establish a new and inclusive development model by coordinating its traditional knowledge and local wisdom with modern technology.

In order to make Jharkhand a leading state in technology-based development, Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren chaired Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings with representatives of global technology companies and industry during the National Stakeholder Consultation on Vision 2050. The objective of these meetings was to establish strategic partnerships for AI-based good governance, digital infrastructure, innovation, cloud technology, and developing a future-ready workforce.

Several leading global technology companies and industry representatives, including Google, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, AWS, Salesforce, Techstar, Leah AI, and Mamsys, participated in this consultation and discussed possibilities for cooperation to make governance more effective and citizen-centric through emerging technologies in Jharkhand.

In the meeting with Lokesh Lohia, representative of Google, discussions were held on AI-based good governance, smart healthcare, emergency services, language-based AI solutions, and digital skilling. The company proposed to conduct a three-month AI training and certification program for 3 to 4 lakh K-12 teachers in the state. Additionally, a proposal was made to sign a Statement of Intent (SoI) between the Jharkhand government and Google. The meeting also deliberated on developing AI-based ambulance management and an integrated health platform.

Tauseef Siddiqui, Senior Director (Data Platforms) at Oracle, expressed a desire to partner in strengthening the state's AI, cloud, and digital skilling ecosystem. The company proposed cooperation on training, certification, workforce development, innovation, and capacity building programs aligned with industry needs.

In the meeting with Keshari Asthana, CTO (India) of Microsoft, discussions focused on developing an AI-powered data intelligence platform that integrates data from all government departments. Emphasis was placed on evidence-based decision-making, automation of departmental processes, and strengthening data governance. The use of low-code platforms to accelerate the digitization of government services was also considered.

Talinn Kumar, Senior Advisor at IBM, presented AI-based solutions for the mining, health, banking, and cybersecurity sectors. The company proposed free Proof of Concept (PoC) to develop intelligent data analytics, mining surveillance, secure data sharing, and AI solutions tailored to the state's requirements.

Discussions with SaaS covered increasing transparency in government schemes, reducing leakage, improving service delivery through AI-based analytics, hybrid cloud, cybersecurity, and intelligent data platforms, as well as institutional capacity building through training and certification programs.

In the meeting with Sachin Punyani, Principal AI Specialist at AWS, discussions were held on developing secure cloud infrastructure, AI-based data integration, digital governance, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), education, and centralized decision support dashboards. The company also offered a free Proof of Concept (PoC) to demonstrate AI-based good governance solutions in the state.

During the meeting, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar and senior officials of the Jharkhand government responded in detail to the suggestions and queries of the industry representatives.

These B2G meetings held as part of the National Stakeholder Consultation clarified that global technology companies are enthusiastic about establishing long-term partnerships with Jharkhand. The state government is also committed to developing Jharkhand as a leading digital and investment destination in the country through innovation, digital infrastructure, AI-based good governance, and skill development.
