The affair came to light when Vijay learned of Neetu’s relationship with another man. His vocal opposition fueled their rage, leading to a sinister pact between Neetu and her paramour to silence him permanently.
Executing the plan on February 10, assailants abducted Vijay in a vehicle, killed him execution-style, and discarded his corpse on a deserted service road in Hesal under Angara thana. The isolated dump site was meant to throw off investigators.
