The Mohammadganj police station in Palamu is currently the site of a logistical nightmare that has left its officers without a functioning mess for fifteen days. Due to the lack of an LPG cylinder, the personnel are surviving on a meager diet of 'Chuda-Gur' or paying for expensive meals at local hotels while performing their duties. Station In-charge Narayan Soren stated that the mess closed down because gas agencies refused to provide cylinders without a valid official connection and mobile-based OTP verification. This bureaucratic hurdle has paralyzed the station’s kitchen. The plight of the officers was starkly illustrated when they rescued a wandering teenager this weekend. The child’s simple request for a hot meal of rice left the officers speechless, as they had no way to cook food in the station.
