Focusing on the physical well-being and security of the workforce, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has mandated significant improvements in safety protocols at construction sites across Jharkhand. In a recent departmental review, he instructed officials to ensure the immediate distribution of essential safety gear, including helmets, gloves, and boots, to all registered construction laborers. Furthermore, the CM ordered that all construction sites must prominently display boards outlining safety requirements and worker rights. Beyond physical safety, the CM pushed for digital security through the E-shram portal, demanding that the registration process be accelerated to ensure that social security benefits and government welfare schemes reach the intended beneficiaries without delay. He also highlighted the importance of including MGNREGA workers in these registration drives to broaden the safety net for the state's unorganized sector.
