The Jharkhand Cabinet has approved the dismissal of four female doctors serving in various districts of the state. The doctors facing dismissal include Dr. Farhana, a gynecologist at Sadar Hospital, Giridih; Dr. Jyoti Kumari, a medical officer at the Additional Primary Health Center, Balkush (Tundi), Dhanbad, currently on deputation at the Primary Health Center, Topchanchi, Dhanbad; Dr. Bhavna, a medical officer at the Community Health Center, Markachcho, Koderma; and Dr. Rinku Kumari Singh, a medical officer at the Community Health Center, Chandankiyari, Bokaro. Additionally, the Cabinet approved the removal of another doctor, Dr. Indranath Prasad, a medical officer at Sadar Hospital, Sahibganj.
The Cabinet also decided to allocate the residence of Guruji, Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren, to his wife, Rupi Soren. This Morhabadi-based residence was provided to Guruji for life.
Other decisions made by the Cabinet include approval for the Jharkhand Free and Compulsory Child Education (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025; the implementation of guidelines for recording evidence of vulnerable witnesses-2025; the appointment of a dependent of Gopal Thakur, a former daily worker, on compassionate grounds, as per the orders of the Jharkhand High Court; approval of the draft of the Jharkhand State Road Safety Fund (Amendment) Rules-2025; and the approval of the service rendered as an additional clerk after December 1, 2004, by temporary clerks brought into regular establishment from the post of additional clerk for pension and family pension eligibility.
The Cabinet also approved the re-publication of the notification related to Census-2027 in Jharkhand, following the gazette of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India; the issuance of Jharkhand Diseases Donor Organ and Transplantation Guidelines; and the inclusion of the subject related to manual scavengers in the duties of the Women, Child Development, and Social Security Department under the First Schedule of the Jharkhand Executive Rules, -2000 (as amended from time to time).
Furthermore, the Cabinet approved the administrative approval for the third revised estimate of Rs 1851 crore 67 lakh 74 thousand for the Punasi Reservoir Scheme; ex-post facto approval for the mandatory live photo requirement of the applicant at the time of application in the implementation of the Jharkhand Chief Minister’s Maiyan Samman Yojana; and the approval of a proposal to form the Chief Minister Jharkhand International Migrant Worker Grant and Assistance Fund to assist international migrant workers of the state in cases of natural disasters, accidents, and untimely death, providing for the transportation of the deceased’s body to their ancestral home and financial assistance, and to transport the international migrant worker back to their place of residence.
The Cabinet also approved the various components, state share, and extension of the period of the centrally sponsored scheme PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) for the financial year 2025-26 to organize food processing units in the unorganized sector.
Additionally, the Cabinet granted the second revised administrative approval for the construction work of the Road Over Bridge (ROB) at the location of Level Crossing Number 04/E on the Satsangnagar-Bhirakhibad Path (MDR-235) between Jasidih-Vaidyanathdham station at a cost of Rs 49.10 crore, with the approval to bear the state’s share of Rs 40.63 crore. The Cabinet also approved the administrative approval of Rs 34.36 crore for the reconstruction work (including land acquisition and plantation) of the Bariyatu Kalikaran Path (MDR-101) from Ramgarh district to Hundru (on MDR-105) via Tonagatu IPL Factory Path (total length-6.263 km), transferring it from the Rural Works Department to the Road Construction Department.
The Cabinet approved the adoption of the Inland Vessels (Life Saving Appliances) Rules 2022 notified by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways in the state of Jharkhand; the formation of the State Sahitya Akademi; and the formation of the Jharkhand State Sangeet Natak Akademi with the aim of actively working and promoting activities in the field of music drama and applied arts in the entire geographical area of Jharkhand, and thereby promoting the cultural unity of the state. The Jharkhand Tourism Development and Registration Act (Amendment) Bill-2025 was also approved.
The Cabinet approved the state’s participation in the World Bank-funded Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project, Phase-2 and 3, for the security, restoration, and sustenance of dams constructed in the state; ex-post facto approval of the Jharkhand Coaching Center (Control and Regulation) Bill-2025; and the approval of Rs 58.07 crore for the construction of the Keliasol to Khadapathar Path (16.650 km) on Nirsa (NH-19) in Dhanbad district, transferring it from the Rural Works Department to the Road Construction Department.
Furthermore, the Cabinet approved Rs 75.97 crore for the construction of the Hata Chaibasa (NH-2020) railway crossing to Barachiru and Power Grid Link Path (11.110 km); the establishment, operation, and construction of buildings for 50 Anganwadi centers in Scheduled Tribe dominated areas under the Dharti Aba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUUA); and the approval of the proposal and format of the agreement with the agency selected through EOL on PPP mode at Dhanbad Airport.
The Cabinet also approved the increase in the estimated number of students in the category of Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Pardeshiya Chhatravritti Yojana-2020 (amended 2022); the necessary amendments to the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Examination (Graduate Level Technical/Specific Qualification Posts) Conduct Rules-2017 (as amended from time to time); and the amendment in the Jharkhand Jal Sansadhan Samvidak Niyamanvali-2018 and the Standard Bidding Document (SBD) of the Water Resources Department for the mandatory GST certificate in the public regarding the Jharkhand Goods and Services Tax Act-2017.
The Cabinet approved the scheme for the construction of Government Engineering College, Giridih, with an estimated amount of Rs 244 crore 73 lakh. The approval for the establishment of 109 Anganwadi centers in the areas dominated by Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in the state under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM JANMAN) was also granted.
Approval of Rs 104 crore 25 lakh was granted for the construction of Dalteganj ROB (on SH-10) to Northern Koyal Semra Mines Path (15.150 km) (including construction of bridges, land acquisition, and plantation) under the Path Division, Daltenganj. The amended rules of the Jharkhand Government Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Contractors Registration and Renewal Rules-2012 was also approved.
A decision was made to provide pensions to the teachers and non-teaching staff of 180 non-governmental aided madrasas and 11 non-governmental recognized Sanskrit schools approved since the time of undivided Bihar. The Cabinet also decided to allocate Rs 74.95 crore for the construction of a 132/33 kV grid sub-station, ITI Mod Chas; Rs 174 crore 36 lakh for the construction of a 220 kV Baliapur-Maithon transmission line; Rs 67 crore 59 lakh for the construction of a 132 kV Baliapur-Sindri transmission line; Rs 113 crore 43 lakh for the construction of a 132/33 kV gas insulated sub-station (GIS) at Binod Bihari Chowk, Dhanbad; Rs 77 crore 66 lakh for the construction of the Lilo transmission line in the Sindri grid of the 132 kV Chandankiyari-Govindpur transmission line; Rs 173 crore 10 lakh for the construction of the Lilo transmission line in the proposed 220/132/33 kV grid sub-station, Maithon (near Sanjay Chowk); Rs 172 crore 88 lakh for the construction of a 220/132/33 kV GIS sub-station, Maithon (near Sanjay Chowk); Rs 126 crore 18 lakh for the construction of a 132 kV Maithon-Tundi transmission line; and Rs 74 crore 95 lakh for the construction of a 132/33 kV grid sub-station, Sindri (HURL).
After the approval of the total revised amount of Rs 1842.25 crore for the transmission line project for the Patratu Super Thermal Power Station, approval was granted to provide Rs 28 crore 77 lakh for the 400 kV Chandwa-Latehar and 400 kV Patratu-Latehar transmission lines under the Jharkhand Consultancy Project by Power Grid Corporation Limited. Approval was also granted to provide Rs 39 crore 88 lakh for the purchase of hydraulic rescue platform vehicles for the office of Home Guard and Fire Services; and the formation and administration of the Jharkhand Budget Stabilization Fund Rules-2025. Finally, the Cabinet gave ex-post facto approval to the departmental notification regarding the formation of the Jharkhand Beverages Corporation Limited (JSBCL) Jharkhand Liquor Storage and Wholesale Sales (Amendment) Rules-2025.
