The Jharkhand Cabinet has approved the dismissal of four female doctors serving in various districts of the state. Those approved for dismissal include Dr. Farhana, a gynecologist at Sadar Hospital, Giridih; Dr. Jyoti Kumari, a medical officer at the Additional Primary Health Center, Balkush (Tundi), Dhanbad, currently on deputation at the Primary Health Center, Topchanchi, Dhanbad; Dr. Bhavna, a medical officer at the Community Health Center, Markachho, Koderma; and Dr. Rinku Kumari Singh, a medical officer at the Community Health Center, Chandankiyari, Bokaro. In addition, the Cabinet approved the removal of Dr. Indranath Prasad, a medical officer at Sadar Hospital, Sahibganj, from service.
In related matters, the Cabinet sanctioned the allocation of the residence of Guruji, Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren, to his wife, Rupi Soren. The proposal was approved, acknowledging Guruji’s lifetime use of the residence.
Other cabinet decisions include the approval of the Jharkhand Free and Compulsory Child Education (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025; the implementation of guidelines for recording evidence of vulnerable witnesses-2025; the approval of appointment on compassionate grounds for a dependent of Gopal Thakur, a former daily employee of the Jharkhand High Court; the approval of the Jharkhand State Road Safety Fund (Amendment) Rules-2025; the approval for the service rendered by temporary clerks in registration offices after December 1, 2004, to be considered for pension and family pension; the re-publication of the census-2027 notification in Jharkhand, based on a gazette from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India; the issuance of Jharkhand DGiz Donor Organ and Transplantation Guidelines; the inclusion of subjects related to manual scavengers in the duties of the Women, Child Development and Social Security Department under the First Schedule of the Jharkhand Executive Rules, 2000 (as amended from time to time); administrative approval for the third revised estimate of Rs 1851 crore 67 lakh 74 thousand for the Punasi reservoir scheme; post-facto approval for the removal of the requirement for live photos of applicants at the time of application in the implementation of the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana; approval for the formation of the Chief Minister Jharkhand International Migrant Worker Grant and Assistance Fund to assist international migrant workers from the state with repatriation of mortal remains, financial assistance, and support for their return; approval for various components, the state share, and extension of the centrally sponsored scheme PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) for the financial year 2025-26; the second revised administrative approval of Rs 49.10 crore for the construction of a road over bridge (ROB) in place of Level Crossing No. 04/E between Satsangnagar-Bhirakhibad Path (MDR-235) and Jasidih-Vaidyanathdham station; administrative approval of Rs 34.36 crore for the reconstruction work (including land acquisition and afforestation) of the Bariyatu Kalikaran Path (MDR-101) to Hunderu (on MDR-105) via Tonagatu IPL factory path (total length – 6.263 km), transferring it from the Rural Works Department to the Road Construction Department; approval to adopt the Inland Vessels (Life Saving Appliances) Rules 2022 notified by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways; the formation of the State Sahitya Akademi; approval for the formation of the Jharkhand State Sangeet Natak Akademi to promote activities in the field of music, drama, and applied arts;
