Residents of Jharkhand are beginning to feel the chill as winter makes its presence felt across the state. Laher, a district in Jharkhand, has recorded a minimum temperature of 15.8 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department has predicted further drops in mercury in the coming days, affecting the capital Ranchi and other regions. The weather is expected to remain clear for now, with fog anticipated in many districts during the early mornings and nights. Daytime will see occasional partial cloud cover, contributing to the cooling trend.
Over the past 24 hours, Saraikela registered the highest temperature at 32.3 degrees Celsius. No rainfall has been reported across the state during this period. The recent spell of rain a week ago has left the ground moist, maintaining atmospheric humidity. This increased moisture is contributing to the noticeable coldness experienced during early mornings and nights.
In the capital city of Ranchi, Tuesday morning brought clear skies and sunshine, much to the delight of residents who enjoyed the pleasant warmth. Maximum temperatures recorded include Ranchi at 26.4°C, Jamshedpur at 31.8°C, Daltonganj at 31°C, Bokaro at 28.1°C, and Chaibasa at 30.8°C.
