Investigation Underway After RIMS PG Doctor Dies Suddenly in Ranchi

Authorities in Jharkhand's capital are investigating the mysterious death of Dr. Sanu Sanal Barwar, a postgraduate medical student at the state’s premier medical facility, RIMS. The 32-year-old doctor, a first-year PG student in the Surgery Department, was found dead in his bed on Saturday morning at his home in the Nagdi police station area. According to his family, Dr. Barwar appeared perfectly healthy and had joined them for dinner on Friday night before going to sleep. However, when he did not emerge from his room the following morning, his concerned parents checked on him and found him completely unresponsive. The Ranchi police and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams have visited the residence to collect samples and search for any evidence that might explain the suddenness of the event. While there were no immediate signs of struggle or foul play, the police are exploring all possible angles. The loss of Dr. Barwar has left a significant void in the RIMS surgery department, with faculty members and fellow students describing him as a promising professional. The department has paused academic activities temporarily to honor his memory as they await further updates from the ongoing police investigation.
