Investigation Launched Following Shriram Plant Furnace Accident

Following the furnace explosion at Shriram Power Plant, district officials have opened a formal inquiry. The blast injured nine laborers, with two requiring referral to a Ranchi hospital for intensive care. The remaining seven are under observation at Hop Hospital on Ranchi Road. The plant was engaged in sponge iron melting and maintenance when the furnace gave way, sending hot metal onto the workforce.
