Investigation Reveals Misappropriation of 1.92 Acres Compensation in Ramgarh
A thorough investigation by the Jharkhand Anti‑Corruption Bureau has uncovered a suspected misappropriation of compensation for 1.92 acres of land in the Jodakarma mauja of Mandu block, Ramgarh district. The land, identified as account number 126 and plot number 2677, was seized for the NH‑33 widening project.
The probe found that the compensation owed to the original owners was allegedly siphoned off by officials handling the transaction. Two senior officers – former district Amin Baleshwar Prasad (69) and former Principal Assistant Praveen Kumar Sinha (63) – have been implicated.
Both accused hail from the Hajariabag district. Prasad resides in the Muafsil thana area, while Sinha lives near a petrol pump in Ramnagar. They are alleged to have coordinated the diversion of funds, violating multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018.
The legal case was lodged on September 18, 2018, at the Hajariabag ACB police station (case No. 13/18). After a sustained inquiry, the ACB effected the arrests on October 1, 2026.
The bureau has warned that the investigation is still active and that further individuals involved may be identified as the inquiry proceeds.
