Investigation probes network that allegedly rigged Jharkhand JSSC‑CGL tests

The CID is actively tracing the structure of a suspected cheating network that targeted the Jharkhand Subordinate Service Commission’s Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination. Authorities are focusing on how exam papers or confidential information were allegedly passed to selected candidates.

Preliminary findings suggest that a small group, led by Abhay Tiwari, coordinated the flow of information through personal contacts, including family members. The CID is examining communication records, financial transactions and any links to the private agency that previously handled JPSC exams.

Eighteen additional suspects have received notices to appear before the CID. Their statements are expected to shed light on the roles of peripheral actors, such as facilitators who may have distributed answer keys or provided logistical support during the examination process.

The probe aims to uncover the full extent of the malpractice, determine the number of candidates who benefited, and recommend corrective measures to safeguard future state recruitment exams.
